The City Doors (Portas da Cidade)

The City Doors of Ponta Delgada are one of the architectural landmarks of the capital of the magnificent São Miguel Island, in the stunning Azores Archipelago.
Located nowadays right in the center of the city, in the heart of Gonçalo Velho Cabral Square, the Portas da Cidade were built in 1783 along the old quay to the east of the city, and were transferred to this prestigious place in 1952 due to the also very important and beautiful Avenida Infante D. Henrique.

Seven Cities Lagoon (Lagoa das Sete Cidades)

The Seven Cities Lagon is one of the most famous places in the Azores Archipelago, and once it is understood, it is understood why.
This is the largest freshwater lake in the Azores, located in the volcanic craters that make up the Island. It consists of two lagoons (Lagoa Verde and Lagoa Azul), which promote a scenario of extreme and indescribable beauty and one of the symbolic images of the entire archipelago, classified as Protected Landscape of the Natura 2000 Network.

Diving, walking tours ...

The island of São Miguel is also known for its relatively low coastal dives, such as the Lourenço and Baixa da Sabrina, where it is common to see groups of mantas and schools of large pelagics.
